Gilgamesh & Enkidu
The Oldest Love Story Ever Told
A Feature-Length Action/Fantasy Adventure

Written by Demian

King Gilgamesh’s heavy rule brings prosperity and social unrest. No one challenges his strength or intelligence, until the gods create Enkidu. As comrades and lovers, they are invincible and conquer all. Terrified by Enkidu’s death, Gilgamesh leaves his throne, and goes on a quest for immortality. He finds something greater.

It is an epic journey, a physical and mental story that begins in greed and abuse of power, and ends in wisdom and peace.

Gilgamesh & Enkidu distinguishes itself as a video retelling of the landmark, historic, poem of the Epic of Gilgamesh, in part, because it crosses a host of genre boundaries:

  • Action-Adventure - earthquake, horrendous battles, gruesome beheading
  • Fantasy - mythical beings and dreams mix with reality
  • Historical Docu-drama - takes place 4,600 years ago in Sumer (now Iraq)
  • Biographical - Gilgamesh was a real king
  • Gay Content - Gilgamesh and Enkidu were lovers
  • Religious - frequent prayers made to the gods, who frequently interact with the mortals
  • Spiritual - a message of love and hope
